CIRCULAR BUILDING LAB
The construction industry is a major contributor to our current resource and energy consumption. In order to be able to achieve the climate targets 2050, it is central that all stakeholders work together towards this goal. In the Circular Building Lab, innovative circular solutions for the construction sector are created and advanced. Stakeholders from business, science and society work together to address the associated challenges along the value chain. Participants are invited to develop and test ideas, concepts, products and business models and have them enriched by researchers and experts.
FOCUS
We identify challenges in the digital domain in order to jointly find application-specific solutions. In finding solutions, we rely on our network of experts from research and industry. Based on new technologies, we develop products and services that are established on the market through new business models.

COMMUNITY
A uniform understanding of the various terms and definitions is important so that the players involved can interact efficiently and in a goal-oriented manner. Knowledge is consistently shared in the community and ideas are further developed using an open innovation approach. As a Circular Building Lab, we not only provide you with the latest research results. We prepare the content for you, extract core ideas and collect best practices.
ACADEMY
Collaboration requires a common basis of understanding. In our Academy, we impart the knowledge of the Circular Building Lab and thus create the basis for tackling challenges. We provide possible solutions and "best practice" examples. At eye level, we present our findings and ideas in a structured form and invite you to critically question concepts, to enter into dialogue with like-minded people and to further develop topics.
SOLUTION BOOSTER
Together with ETH Zurich as the Leading House, Empa's NEST and other strategic consortium members, we will operate the NTN Innovation Booster "Circularity in the Building Industry" from 2022 to 2025, funded by InnoSuisse. The Booster supports promising innovation ideas with funding contributions. Selected teams can use this to test their hypotheses and develop a basis for decision-making in order to develop their idea further - or to abandon it in a qualified manner.
PROJECTS
On the co-creation platform jointcreate.com regular calls are announced, where teams can register with their project ideas and, thanks to the NTN Innosuisse Booster, receive financial and methodological support for further development in the event of successful pitching.
